Tubber start League on Winning Note

Tubber kicked off their division two league campaign when they played Pullough in the league on Wednesday night last under lights in Ballycumber. Though fielding a side containing some very young players we managed to come away with a win on a scoreline of 2-9 to 1-7. It was great to get a win especially with so many of the young lads playing, and with the quality of the performances given by these players the future of the club looks very good indeed.

Team: Willie Colgan, Ned Daly, Tommy Gorman, Johnnie Moran, Jack Murray, Damian Heavin, Kevin McGuinness, Eddie Kavanagh, Aiden Naughton,  Joe Higgins, Martin Heavin, Mick Grennan,Keith Higgins, Michael Doolan,  Basil Cronin.

Subs Brendan Heavin for M. Grennan, Stevie Madden for Johnny Moran.

Intermediate Championship Draw Made

Tubber will play in one of the two ‘strong’ groups in this years championship. The group consists of : Clara, Erin Rovers, Raheen and ourselves. There will be no easy games in this one and a great effort will be needed to finish in either of the top two places in the group. The group winners progress directly to the semi-finals with the runners up going into the quarter-finals.
